Objectively as you can see in this image there are 3 people sitting around a table in a garden, their facial expressions are very blunt and are looking expressionless. You can see they are posing for the image and are holding their pose for the camera making sure they are looking straight into the lens. The image has been taken for Jack Wills which is a higher end brand which is why the models are looking so professional.
Subjectively, I think this image is effective and very different from what you would normally see. They have set out a table and chairs and are having tea outside, I think by doing this the image is trying to link to Alice in Wonderland by the girl wearing the hat and also being a rabbit at the end. It is very surreal image through the props and styling of the image and is not something you would see in everyday life which is what makes it more intriguing and fascinating. From what I can see in the image the girl which has been used looks like the same one each time so a lot of thought has been processed into this image. She has got different clothing on each time, starting with nothing then with a hat on and then with a rabbit mask. So this shows the stages of getting to the end point with the rabbit mask and the ears. By using the same model each time this adds to the surrealism of the image, showing people that you can be whoever you want to be.
The only thing in which I don't really like about this image is the colour there is only a small bit of it and doesn't really make the image stand out as much as it could making it desaturated. However the image creates a narrative and this is something which I would like to experiment with in my own work showing a story whilst you look at the image.
Here is what I have done, what I did was take images of rooms and then
I took self portraits of what you would do in those rooms. In the first image as you can see I have taken a picture of my bed and then the self portrait is of me waking up. The second image is of an office showing me doing work in the day. Then the third picture is of me working and giving the customer change. Finally the fourth image is of me changing the channels whilst watching TV. However although the image as a whole came together I will not be carrying on with this because I didn't get the right lighting whilst taking the images of the rooms, and also what I have done is very simple and doesn't show many skills. The images underneath these are more focusing on the Eleanor Hardwick theme as you can see I took a friend into the woods with props. I have also used costumes so as you can see she has got a disney princess dress on making the image a bit enchanted and adding more colour into the photograph.
In the images above these were my attempt at making a panorama of time throughout my day but weren't as I hoped for them to be. It is not really a panorama because the images don't go together, also not really linking to my photographer well so I went on to creating some new shots on a different shoot in the woods. I went out with my friends sister and took out some props with me as Eleanor Hardwick does in her shoots, she also wore a princess dress to do the shoots in to make the images look like a fairy tale. The props and dress also bring more colour into the photo. The image you can see is a panorama I moved the props as I was taking the images to get the images to link together.
