In the woods Final Piece images and ideas 1

For my final piece I want my theme to be about fairy tale stories in the woods so I have already done a shoot in the woods with my friends sister and will be using some of the images in my final piece but I will photoshop the dress she is wearing in red to go with my in the woods theme, this links with the fairy tale red riding hood. Then I will also do about the 3 bears placing a variety of different sized bears near trees in the woods however they will not be the main focus of the image I will have them within the image. I will also do an image on Hansel and Gretel and will get some bread and break it into tiny pieces making a neat trail. When doing this I would like to find a path in the woods and lay the bread out through there with trees either side re creating the story. In another image I would like to set out a pick-nick in the background of the image in between the trees.

As you can see in these 3 images above these are the ones which I did in the woods with my friends sister I have edited them so the dress is red and I feel like it makes the images stand out even more and goes with the in the wood fairy tale theme. The fairy tale these images are about is red riding hood, the first image is when she is on her way to her grandmas whilst the second on is where she has seen the wolf and is running away from it. Then in the third image she is hiding away and checking to see if she has gotten away from it and if it is clear for her to carry on with her journey.

Here are the images which I went out and took as you can see I have got 3 bears each of them different sizes and have scattered them around in the woods and have also set out a teddy bear pick nick. Then what I did was placed a trail of bear going down a path throughout the woods then to add a twist to it I placed the path going down to the lake where the ducks were so the ducks gradually came and started eating all the bread one by one in the line which I thought looked quite different and effective. Although probably would of been better with just one duck so you can see all the bread going one by one. Then I got out the pick nick and got the bears in, I placed the scene under an arch which I thought made it more clear that they were they then with the lighting coming through from the trees made the image look even more intriguing. I then moved the bears into a circular rock which through the other side you could see the lake a some trees which when you look at the images made it look even better.

These were the first images I took above I have scattered out the bears in and on the trees this is because they are not meant to be the main feature of the image you are meant to look deep into the image to find them although may not be hard in some. I separated them in some so that they are not just in one space in the image because while they are spread out it makes you look at the whole image instead of just one individual sector.

In these images the storyline was based around Hansel and Gretel so I laid out some bread in a trail in the first images and made sure they were on a path in a neat line with the woods around the path. Then in the other images what I did was lay out the bread again in a trail but this time I trailed it down to the lake where the ducks were and as soon as they smelt the bread all of them came and ate the trail gradually. So I took images of the trail slowly disappearing whilst the ducks where demolishing it.

In these images I set out a pick nick underneath the arch because I thought it was a good feature to look at and which looked really effective. Then as I got the whole image in the sun rays beamed through the trees giving the image a glistening and more enchanted effect.

In my opinion these images above are really effective this is because of where the image has been taken the light is just right and you can see straight through the circular rock. You can see the lake and the trees which draw you straight in when you first lay eyes on the image. The colours of the bears and the pick nick blanket give colour into the image and make it more happier and bright. The sun gleaming the the hole also adds a nice light into the image in the top left side. The ones of the bears on top of the rock  with the woods in front give a perspective of what they can see from up there and take in the view.

The images which I did were just of the 3 bears and didn't incorporate Goldilocks into these so what I have tried to do is take a picture of some golden locks and then photoshop the image into the 3 bears picture. However in my opinion the images look too photoshopped and doesn't look natural at all.

I then photoshopped the Hansel and Gretel images and made the image black and white and coloured in the pieces of bread to make them stand out in the image. I did them multi coloured staring off with a dark red and finishing with a light pink. Making the image as a whole more eye-catching but less realistic.
